Foundation of Bagages du Monde

In1998, Bagages du Monde was built on the expertise of its founders, licensed freight forwarders and customs brokers specialized in secure and highly regulated environments. Mastery of airport constraints, compliance with operational and regulatory frameworks, and constant attention to quality of service are an integral part of the company's DNA. It is on these solid foundations that BDM has progressively developed its baggage services at the heart of airport hubs, with a structured organization and a high level of reliability.

In 2003, BDM opened its first point of sale at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. While expanding its services to other airports, the company remained deeply rooted within the Paris Airports network, opening two additional locations at Paris-CDG in 2004 and 2005, followed by a launch at Paris-Orly in 2007. Between 2005 and 2007, BDM introduced a luggage plastic-wrapping service across both Paris-CDG and Paris-Orly; however, this service was ultimately discontinued in 2015 as part of the company's commitment to reducing its environmental impact.

Implementation of the First Modern Secure Luggage Storage at Paris-CDG

After six years of collaboration with public and airport authorities, BDM implemented the first modern secure luggage storage facility at Paris-CDG Airport in 2010.

This achievement marked a major milestone in the organization of baggage services within airport environments and proved the company’s ability to design solutions that meet the highest security and safety standards.

Launch of Hello Passenger

In 2015, BDM launched the Hello Passenger website as part of its digital development strategy.

This step reflected the company’s commitment to making its services more accessible, more visible, and better aligned with the evolving needs of modern travelers, while strengthening its relationship with customers.

A Year Deeply Affected by the Health Crisis

The year 2020 represented a major turning point for the entire aviation sector. The COVID-19 crisis significantly impacted BDM’s activities, with nearly three months of cumulative administrative lock-down.

Through these challenging times, the company demonstrated resilience and continued adapting its operations in preparation for the recovery of its activities.

Opening of the Secure Luggage Storage Facility at Paris-Orly

In 2024, BDM opened a secure luggage storage facility at Paris-Orly in a particularly symbolic context.

This reopening takes place at a site long marked by the attack carried out on June 11, 1980, against the luggage storage facility at Orly Airport, an event that led to the permanent closure of the former luggage storage services at Orly-Ouest.
With more than twenty years of operational experience gained by BDM at the heart of the Paris airports, it illustrates the company’s ability to reintroduce sensitive services within a controlled, secure environment that meets today’s operational standards.

A New Chapter

Today, Hello Passenger provides travelers at Paris-CDG with tailored services, a high level of operational standards, and a strong drive to adapt its services to the constantly evolving travel needs of travelers.

The agency will continue to grow by opening a new full-scale agency at Paris-CDG, built around cutting-edge digital tools and modernized ways of working.

The next step for Hello Passenger is to further strengthen its reception, assistance, and traveler digitalization services, with the gradual deployment of new tools and services directly within the airport.
